Job summary

Accelerated Clinical Trials in the United States is seeking a part-time Custodian/Janitorial Staff to support our facility by maintaining clean patient rooms, offices, lab areas, pharmacies, and common spaces. This contract position requires meticulous attention to detail and adherence to strict cleaning procedures around sensitive equipment.

The schedule is weekdays with occasional weekend work as needed; pay is $15 per hour.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior custodial or facilities experience; experience in a research, healthcare, or laboratory environment is a plus.
• Ability to follow strict cleaning and safety protocols.
• Strong attention to detail and reliability.
• Good communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize hallways, offices, restrooms, break rooms, and common areas
• Perform routine floor care: sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and floor polishing
• Safely handle and remove non-hazardous waste and recycling; coordinate with staff for hazardous waste procedures (no direct handling unless trained/authorized)
• Maintain cleanliness around lab support areas (anterooms, equipment rooms, supply corridors) while respecting restricted-access policies
• Restock soap, paper goods, and general supplies
• Clean light fixtures, windows, high-touch surfaces, and shared equipment surfaces
• Follow facility protocols for restricted zones, PPE requirements, and contamination prevention
• Report safety hazards, spills, or equipment issues promptly
• Assist with event or room setup as needed
