Job summary

A leading distributor of shipping materials in Connecticut is seeking a Custodian/Janitor to maintain the cleanliness of its warehouse. Responsibilities include sweeping, mopping, and operating cleaning equipment. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma and attention to detail, with previous custodial experience preferred. Hours: Monday - Friday, 6 AM to 2:30 PM.

Position Responsibilities

• Maintain the overall cleanliness of our warehouse including sweeping, mopping and dusting.
• Process trash removal and box scraps with a compactor.
• Operate floor scrubber (electric or propane) and other equipment.
• Assist special projects, performing general labor to support warehouse operations as needed.

Minimum Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Previous custodial / cleaning experience preferred.
• Frequently move packages weighing up to 50 - 70 lbs.
