Job summary

ECHO Incorporated is seeking a Custodian II for the 2nd shift (Mon-Fri, 3:00pm–11:30pm) in Lake Zurich, IL. The role focuses on cleaning, waste removal, recycling, and restocking facilities to maintain a safe, orderly environment.

Forklift training will be provided; benefits include health coverage, PTO, and a 401(k) match. The position requires physical stamina, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and adherence to safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Hands-on tasks ability and following instructions in mechanically oriented environments.
• General knowledge of equipment used in building maintenance.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Capable of routine lifting; carpentry, plumbing, or electrical repairs a plus.
• Proficient in using manual and power tools required for daily tasks.

Responsibilities

• Clean assembly floors, pallets, warehouse areas and remove trash.
• Sweep and mop floors daily.
• Sort and dispose of recyclables.
• Restock restrooms, kitchens, and breakrooms with supplies.
• Perform additional cleaning and housekeeping tasks as assigned.
• Complete work assignments safely and follow company safety procedures.
• Must be able to lift over 30 lbs; forklift training provided as needed.

The Custodian II roleis responsible for removing garbage and recyclable materials from office and plant areas as assigned, and transporting them to the designated trash compactor and recycling collection areas within the facility.

2nd Shift M-F 3:00pm-11:30pm!

$16.50/HR +1 SD = $17.50/HR

Duties/Responsibilities:

Clean assembly floors, pallets, warehouse areas, and remove trash.

Restock restrooms, kitchens, and breakrooms with necessary supplies and paper products.

Perform additional cleaning and housekeeping tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

Complete all work assignments safely and efficiently, following company safety procedures.

Must be able to lift over 30 lbs. when required.

Physical Requirements:

• Must have full use of hands with the ability to bend, stoop, and lift up to 50 lbs. frequently
• Ability to stand and walk for the duration of the shift (100% of the time)
• Ability to work under pressure and move throughout all areas of the facility
• Frequent lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying of materials and cleaning equipment
