Job summary

Job Summary

Perform routine, standardized housekeeping services within assigned building or area. This position will interact with other custodial staff, building/area occupants. This position typically will advise and counsel: NA. This position will supervise: NA.

Responsibilities

• Provide housekeeping services within assigned area, including emptying trash, dusting, spot cleaning, cleaning and disinfecting restrooms, medical and food service care, restocking supplies, mopping, sweeping and vacuuming.
• Operate and maintain power equipment such as carpet vacuums, canister and tank vacuums, wide-area vacuums, backpack vacuums, spot cleaning machines and other powered equipment.
• Maintain housekeeping/storage closets, tools and equipment in a clean, orderly condition.
• Utilize prescribed safety equipment as required.
• Utilize chemicals and supplies in a safe and prescribed manner.
• Respond to work requests from building occupants and the department's service request system.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Educational Requirements: Equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Required Experience: One year of job-related experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED or vocational school diploma.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

Job requires basic skills in delivery of housekeeping services including operation of cleaning equipment and use of cleaning supplies.
