Job summary

Cutler’s Janitorial LLC in Virginia is seeking Custodian(s) to perform a range of cleaning tasks at various locations across Hampton Roads. Duties include dusting, mopping, trash removal, carpet care, and operating cleaning equipment in facilities.

Background checks with fingerprinting are required before start; some customers may require proof of full vaccination. Applicants should read and follow written instructions, maintain safety, and coordinate with team using two-way radios.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work at multiple Hampton Roads locations.
• Ability to read and write at a level appropriate for the duties.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions to ensure safety.
• Ability to operate and care for custodial equipment and supplies.
• Ability to use custodial systems such as work orders and two-way radios for communication.
• Ability to perform work involving regular physical activity, observe safety requirements, and adhere to safe practices.
• Ability to establish and maintain cooperative work relationships.

Responsibilities

• Sweep and keep facility entranceways, rooms, common areas, and restrooms free from debris and trash
• Remove trash and dispose of waste materials
• Vacuum and spot clean carpets
• Operate a variety of industrial cleaning machines
• Restock and clean restrooms using germicide solution
• Wipe down and disinfect areas
• Maintain custodial supplies in assigned storage areas
• Ensure health and safety rules are adhered to at all times

Background

Job offers are contingent upon successfully passing a background investigation which includes fingerprinting and verification of employment history.

Qualifications

Experience: Basic knowledge of cleaning procedures, equipment and supplies, is required.
