Job summary

West Virginia K-12 Jobs seeks a Custodial/Maintenance/Custodian for a 210-day contract in Thoburn, WV. The role reports to the School Principal and the Supervisor of Maintenance and involves maintaining facilities and following safety procedures.

Ideal candidates can read and follow instructions, operate building equipment (buffers, rug cleaners, vacuums, floor strippers), stay in good health, and perform heavy work. Mechanical aptitude for heating, cooling, and sewage systems is expected.

Qualifications

• Must communicate, read, write and follow written and oral instructions.
• Knowledge of custodian methods, procedures and safety principles.
• Knowledge of equipment used in buildings such as buffers, rug cleaners, vacuums and floor strippers.
• In good health with capability to perform heavy work; able to work from ladders or scaffolds.
• Demonstrates mechanical aptitude for operation of heating, cooling and sewage systems.

Responsibilities

• Demonstration of mechanical aptitude, ability and skills necessary in the operation of the hearing, cooling, and sewage treatment system
