Qualifications

• General knowledge of cleaning practices and the use of custodial chemicals, tools, and equipment.

• Ability to follow and carry out work assignments in a timely manner.
• Ability to work any shift (day, night, weekends, holidays) and both independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning and custodial duties to maintain campus areas in a clean, safe, and orderly condition.
• Clean lavatories, toilets, fountains, glass, mirrors, replace paper towels, tissue, soap, and trash liners as appropriate.
• Polish furniture and surfaces, maintain supplies, and secure buildings as needed.
• Move heavy furniture and equipment; participate in safety training.
• Inspect and report defects and wear on facilities; assist other departments as needed.
