Job summary

Good Harvest Market is seeking an experienced cleaner for early mornings Tue-Sat, 6:00am–10:00am (about 20 hrs/week). You will clean restrooms, floors, entrances and outdoor areas, operating a floor scrubber and handling safety chemicals with care. Flexibility for extra hours and winter duties may apply.

The role requires reliable, independent work, ability to lift up to 50 lbs (75 lbs occasionally), and dependable winter transportation. 25% in-store discount and SIMPLE IRA benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of hands-on custodial, janitorial or facilities experience.
• Experience operating and maintaining a walk-behind floor scrubber, including regular cleaning, emptying and refilling tanks, and checking squeegees and pads or brushes.
• Working knowledge of safe chemical use: reading labels and SDS/MSDS, proper dilution, and never mixing products.
• Reliable, on-time and able to work independently with little supervision. You'll often be the first one in the building.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and up to 75 lbs occasionally; comfortable bending, reaching, climbing a ladder and standing for your full shift.
• Dependable transportation for early mornings, including in winter weather.

Responsibilities

• Clean and restock restrooms, including deep cleaning and detail work.
• Sweep, mop, and operate and maintain our floor scrubber as needed.
• Keep entrances and floors safe in winter, managing salt, slush and mats.
• Clean glass, doors and high-touch surfaces.
• Empty trash and recycling inside and out.
• Care for outdoor spaces: patio, pavilion, playground and parking areas, including litter pickup and light weeding.
• Handle small touch-ups such as wall painting and dusting of vents and corners.
• Report maintenance issues you notice so they're addressed quickly.

Good Harvest Market, an independent natural foods grocery with an in-house restaurant and bar (Hop Harvest & Vine), is looking for an experienced, dependable early riser to keep our store, restrooms and grounds clean, safe and welcoming before our customers arrive.

Schedule

• Tuesday-Saturday, 6:00am-10:00am (about 20 hours per week, with additional hours available seasonally)
• Occasional flexibility needed for snow events or heavier cleaning weeks
• Opportunity for additional hours as needs grow

What You'll Do
