Job summary

Triad Service Solutions is hiring Custodian for exterior retail/outlets areas in New Jersey. The role involves cleaning outdoor and indoor spaces, restrooms, and common areas across a shopping center, with on-site responsibilities and training provided.

The ideal candidate is dependable, able to work independently or on a team, and capable of following safety procedures in varying weather conditions. This is a full-time position with multiple shifts.

Qualifications

• Previous janitorial, custodial, or commercial cleaning experience is a plus, but not required.
• No specific education or prior training required.
• Dependable and punctual with consistent attendance.
• Able to follow instructions and respond to management direction.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors.
• Follows safety procedures and properly uses cleaning equipment.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain outdoor common areas, sidewalks, walkways, breezeways, entrances, seating areas.
• Sweep and remove litter, debris, leaves from common areas.
• Replace and empty interior and exterior trash receptacles as needed.
• Clean and sanitize public restrooms and maintain cleanliness during shifts.
• Replenish restroom supplies including soap and paper products.
• Sweep, mop, scrub, and maintain floors in interior areas.
• Clean glass doors, windows, panels and other surfaces.
• Report hazards or maintenance concerns to management.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Triad Service Solutions is seeking dependable, hardworking Custodians to help keep the outlet shopping center clean, safe, and welcoming for shoppers, tenants, employees, and visitors.

This is an active, hands-on position that involves working throughout the property in both indoor and outdoor areas , including walkways, entrances, seating areas, restrooms, and other common spaces.

Previous janitorial or custodial experience is a plus, but not required. We will train the right candidate !

• Clean and maintain outdoor common areas, including sidewalks, walkways, breezeways, entrances, seating areas, and other assigned spaces
• Sweep and remove litter, debris, leaves, and other materials from common areas
• Pick up litter throughout the property and help maintain the overall appearance of the shopping center
• Clean benches, tables, chairs, and other public seating areas
• Empty interior and exterior trash receptacles, replace liners, and transport waste to designated disposal areas
• Clean and sanitize public restrooms and maintain cleanliness throughout the shift
• Replenish restroom supplies, including soap, hand sanitizer, toilet paper, paper towels, and other necessary supplies
• Sweep, mop, scrub, and maintain floors in assigned interior areas
• Clean glass doors, windows, panels, sills, and other glass surfaces
• Dust and clean furniture, fixtures, equipment, ledges, trim, and other surfaces
• Clean and polish metalwork and common-area fixtures
• Clean walls, doors, and other surfaces as needed
• Clean and sanitize high-touch surfaces
• Respond promptly to spills, trash, debris, and other cleaning needs
• Monitor assigned areas and address cleaning needs throughout the shift
• Properly use and care for cleaning equipment, chemicals, materials, and supplies
• Transport cleaning equipment and supplies throughout the property as needed
• Follow established safety, security, and cleaning procedures
• Report hazards, maintenance concerns, or unsafe conditions to management
• Perform other duties as assigned

Physical Requirements

This is an active, physically demanding position. Employees may be required to:

• Stand and walk for extended periods throughout the work shift
• Frequently bend, stoop, squat, reach, and perform repetitive movements
• Push and pull cleaning carts, trash containers, and cleaning equipment
• Lift, carry, move, and position items weighing up to 40 pounds
• Use hands and arms to operate cleaning tools and equipment
• Navigate stairs and varying indoor and outdoor walking surfaces
• Walk and work across outdoor areas for extended periods
• Perform cleaning tasks requiring frequent movement and physical activity throughout the shift

This position is performed throughout an outdoor outlet shopping center and involves working in both indoor and outdoor public areas.

A significant portion of the work may be performed outdoors. Employees may work in heat, cold, rain, wind, direct sunlight, and changing weather conditions. Employees may also be exposed to cleaning chemicals, fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical equipment, wet or slippery surfaces, and other conditions associated with commercial janitorial work.
