Western Pennsylvania School for Blind Children is seeking a dedicated housekeeper to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment across classrooms, dorms, and common areas. You will perform floor care, dusting, window cleaning, and routine upkeep to support daily school operations.

The role requires reliability, the ability to work varied day/evening shifts, and a valid driver’s license preferred. Prior housekeeping experience is welcome as you contribute to a supportive educational

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license preferred.
• Previous experience as a housekeeper preferred.

Responsibilities

• Thoroughly cleans restrooms, classrooms, therapy areas, common areas, dorms, dining areas, hallways, stairwells, and offices.
• Mops/waxes floors, vacuum carpets, spot cleans carpet stains, dusts, and cleans windows.
• Mantains lighting in assigned areas and moves furniture as needed.
• Reports on needed repairs and drives school vehicles as assigned.
• Maintains grounds, including snow removal and assist with room setups and transportation.
• Follows schedule reliably and demonstrates prompt work ethic.

The School also provides vital early intervention and outreach services to visually impaired students, with or without additional challenges, throughout western Pennsylvania. Founded in 1887, our School is best equipped to care for and educate students with visual impairments.
