Qualifications

• CPR certification (Heartsaver) obtained upon employment.

Responsibilities

• Sweeps walkways and entrances.
• Shovels snow and performs other outside duties as requested.
• Sweeps and mops halls; vacuums; cleans mats.
• Empties trash baskets and transports medical waste to designated area(s).
• Empties shredders and transports recycled paper to designated area(s).
• Delivers recyclables to off-site drop off area(s).
• Washes windows, casings and screens - inside and out.
• Removes and replaces cubicle curtains.
• Moves furniture and equipment.
• Cleans walls, floor vents, air vents, radiators and fans.
• Cleans restrooms.
• Orders supplies as needed.
• Cleans and changes filters in kitchen exhaust hood.

POSITION SUMMARY:A hospital custodian performs sanitation and maintenance duties within our hospital, clinic, and other medical buildings. Your responsibilities are to ensure that all public spaces, such as hallways, bathrooms, and exam rooms are clean/sanitized. Our custodian will also perform other duties such as removal of garbage/recycles, shoveling snow, washing windows. You will use a variety of tools and equipment, such as mops, vacuums, carpet steamers, and floor buffers.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Sweeps walkways and entrances.Shovels snow and performs other outside duties as requested.Sweeps and mops halls; vacuums; cleans mats.Empties trash baskets and transports medical waste to designated area(s).Empties shredders and transports recycled paper to designated area(s).Delivers recyclables to off-site drop off area(s).Washes windows, casings and screens - inside and out.
