Job summary

The Children’s Rescue Fund in New York, NY seeks a Custodian/Driver to maintain a clean environment at the Hope House location and to transport staff and clients between sites as needed.

The role requires a high school diploma, custodial experience, familiarity with cleaning equipment, and a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. You will perform cleaning, minor repairs, and assist with safety and daily operations, including on-call shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• At least six months of custodial experience in a business or social service environment is required.
• Familiarity with equipment and processes associated with custodial work is required.
• Must have a valid Driver's license and be able to obtain a clean Driver's Abstract.
• Ability to lift 75 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Clean, sweep, and mop offices, bathrooms, kitchens, program delivery areas, and common areas daily.
• Unload and store deliveries in storage area, move furniture and equipment as needed.
• Remove garbage daily from kitchens, bathrooms, office, and common areas; curbside for pickup.
