Job summary

Goodwill of North Georgia is seeking a Custodian for the CDC Chamblee location. In this role, you will ensure the cleanliness of the building through various manual tasks. Responsibilities include dusting, mopping, and maintaining all common areas.

Position Overview

As a Custodian at the CDC Chamblee location, you will maintain the cleanliness of the facility, performing manual labor associated with the daily cleaning of the building. You will also perform various duties requiring moderate physical strength.

Essential Functions

• Dust, mop, sweep, and damp mop tile floors and stairwells.
• Dust and clean walls, doors, windows, and other surfaces above floor.
• Dust, clean and polish furniture and fixtures.
• Police common areas.
• Police around building exterior.

Requirements

• General knowledge of cleaning methods, materials and equipment.
• Ability to stand for long periods and maintain a positive attitude while engaging in repetitive tasks.
• Ability to perform manual tasks requiring moderate physical strength, including the use of cleaning equipment as necessary.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with supervisors and co‑workers.
• Ability to comply with federal vaccine mandates per contract site, with or without reasonable accommodation.
