• Responds to accidents and safety hazards such as spills in restrooms.
• Notifies officials about repairs needed throughout the building.
• Maintains exterior appearance by picking up trash and basic grounds upkeep.

Summary

Keeps the school building and school offices in clean and orderly condition providing a clean, safe and functional building.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.

• Sweeps, mops, scrubs, wax, dust and vacuums assigned area(s) on a prescribed schedule.
• Scrubs and disinfects toilet doors, urinals, toilet bowls, and other fixtures daily including water bottle fillers and drinking fountains and garbage containers.
• Empty trash and garbage containers daily or more often, if necessary.
• Responds to accidents and potential safety hazards such as spills and restroom issues.
• Notifies school officials concerning the need for repairs throughout the building.
• Maintains the appearance of the outside of the building through picking up trash, mowing, etc.
• Maintains safe, clean and organized custodial storage areas.
