The City of Moses Lake is seeking a dependable Custodian to perform custodial maintenance across City buildings. The role includes evening shifts (5:00 p.m.–1:30 a.m.) or alternate daytime hours and requires careful attention to safety procedures and inventory control.
Responsibilities include cleaning, sanitizing, restocking, operating cleaning equipment, and using work order software. It offers diverse facilities exposure and a union work environment with opportunities to support the community.
This position is responsible for the custodial care and cleaning of City buildings. The normal shift for this position will be Monday through Friday, 5:00 p.m. – 1:30 a.m. There is an alternate shift for this position, which will be 6:00 a.m. to 5 p.m., Thursday through Sunday or 12:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., Saturday through Tuesday. The work location for this position includes all City buildings.
The Custodial Crew Leader assigns work in terms of general instructions. The crew lead spot-checks completed work for compliance with instructions and established procedures, accuracy, and the nature and propriety of the final results.
Guidelines include supervisory instructions and department policies and procedures. These guidelines are generally clear and specific but may require some interpretation in application.
