Job summary

Queen Creek Unified District is hiring for a position focused on cleaning school facilities to district standards. Job description

JOB GOAL

To see that all common spaces, and athletic facilities on our school sites are cleaned to the District standards.

QUALIFICATIONS
  1. High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
  2. Valid Arizona driver’s license
  3. Satisfactory criminal background check
  4. Position requires the following physical demands: be able to lift up to 50 lbs, be able to exert 50-60 lbs of force frequently, push, pull or otherwise move objects
  5. Ability to walk, reach, climb or balance, stoop or kneel
  6. Working may involve a late night shift until about 11 pm during the school year.
  7. Ability to operate mechanical cleaning equipment as well as floor cleaning equipment.
  8. Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
  9. Ability to establish and maintain working relations with janitorial site lead and fellow workers.
  10. Pass a background check
  11. Must obtain an Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card

TERM OF EMPLOYMENT: 261 days; 12 months

COMPENSATION: Per QCUSD salary schedule for applicable position

BENEFITS: As per QCUSD District policy

REPORTS TO: Director of Building Operations

HOURS: 40 hours per week – Monday-Friday 2 p.m.-10:30 p.m.

CLASSIFICATION: Hourly, Non-exempt

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Dust mop, sweep, and wet mop hard surface floors.
  2. Vacuum clean rugs and carpets.
  3. Scrub and clean bathroom fixtures and keep supplied.
  4. Clean walls, doors, windows, and woodwork.
  5. Clean elevators and stairwells.
  6. Empty trash receptacles.
  7. Notify janitorial site lead of equipment and facilities needing repairs or replacement.
  8. Dust, clean, and polish furniture and countertops.
  9. Being flexible and performing other duties assigned by Supervisor.
