Jefferson County Public Schools is seeking a custodial worker to maintain district buildings with efficient housekeeping. You will perform basic commercial cleaning tasks, operate cleaning equipment, and work under supervisor direction.

This 8-hour shift, 261 days calendar, offers pay between $16.13 and $19.24 per hour plus a $3.50 per hour stipend for the position. Internal candidates are encouraged to apply; bids from current custodians and JCPS staff will be considered first.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma or G.E.D
• Ability to perform basic commercial cleaning (housekeeping)tasks in schools and office buildings
• Ability to use/operate commercial cleaning equipment
• Effective Communication Skills

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience in a diverse workplace
