Job summary

Space Coast Credit Union (SCCU) is seeking a Custodian for the Baytree Headquarters in Melbourne, FL. You will clean building spaces and maintain appearance to provide a professional atmosphere at the Corporate Headquarters building.

Shift is Monday–Friday, 2:45 pm–11:45 pm; starting salary $16.38–$17.34/hour with benefits including health, dental, vision, 401(k) match, HSA match, tuition reimbursement after one year, and generous PTO.

Qualifications

• 6 months-1 year prior experience in professional janitorial employment.
• High School Diploma or equivalency.

Responsibilities

• Empty and clean waste receptacles and dispose of trash to ensure a clean environment.
• Clean restrooms and breakroom; replenish supplies and disinfect surfaces.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum building and stairs; dust and polish furniture and fixtures.
• Maintain custodial equipment and report safety hazards.
• Set up and tear down furniture and equipment for events.
• Attendance and punctuality are essential functions of this job.

Description

As a Custodian in our Baytree Head Quarters, you will clean the building spaces and performing related work as required. You will also maintains the appearance of the facility inside and outside the building in order to provide a professional atmosphere at the Corporate Headquarters building.

Custodian Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for emptying and cleaning waste receptacles, recycling containers, ashtrays, and disposal of trash throughout the building in order to ensure a clean work environment.
• Cleans restrooms and breakroom; replenishes supplies, cleans and disinfects tables and counters, cleans sinks, fixtures and equipment to maintain sanitary conditions in these areas.
• Sweeps, mops, vacuums, the building and stairways; dusts and polishes furniture, woodwork, metalwork, fixtures, and equipment; washes walls, fixtures, equipment and accessible interior and exterior windows.
• Keeps utility storage areas and custodial equipment clean and in good working order; reports safety hazards and repairs that are needed in order to maintain a safe working conditions throughout the building.
• Set up and tear down furniture and equipment for events.
• Attendance and punctuality are essential functions of this job.

Custodian Requirements

6 months-1 year prior experience in professional janitorial employment.

• High School Diploma or equivalency

Custodian Compensation

• Starting Salary: $16.38 - $17.34/hour
