Job summary

Sylvania is seeking a dedicated custodian for a 2nd shift position in Ohio. Hours are 2:30p-11:00p or 4:00p-12:30a depending on assignment; 1st shift is not an option. Start ASAP with 260 contract days/year, prorated as needed for the current school year.

Qualifications include a valid Ohio driver's license and ability to pass a background check. Preference given to those with custodial experience in schools, offices, or similar facilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform custodial duties as assigned during the work shift.
• Overtime may be required on weekends for school events.

** This is a 2nd shift position. Hours are 2:30p-11:00p OR 4:00p-12:30a depending on assignment. However, 1st shift hours are NOT an option. **

CREDENTIAL REQUIRED: Valid Ohio Driver's License, must pass a background check

PREFERENCE: Experience in custodial services as related to schools, offices or other facilities

Proposed Start Date: ASAP

Work Days: 8 hours daily, 5 days/week (M-F), 260 contract days/year (prorated for the remainder of the 2026-27 school year).

During the school year (August–May), all scheduled hours will be on 2ND SHIFT. There is no 1st shift availability.

Additional (overtime) hours may be assigned on weekends (various hours/timeframes) for school events.

Salary: Based on the schedule established in the Collective Bargaining Agreement
