Job description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Custodian to join a local company in Toledo, OH. This role is responsible to help maintain a clean, safe, and organized facility. This position will be responsible for cleaning and maintaining bathrooms, locker rooms, offices, breakrooms, hallways, and common areas.

All employees are offered competitive compensation ($18/hr) as well as a benefits package including health insurance (medical, dental, and vision). Eligible for monthly production bonuses.

Schedule: 7:30 AM-4:00 PM (Monday to Friday) Work 40 - 50 hrs weekly Part-time and full-time opportunities are available. Full-time employees may also be assigned additional duties outside of traditional custodial responsibilities based on business needs.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Clean and disinfect bathrooms, locker rooms, offices, breakrooms, hallways, and common areas.
• Vacuum and mop floors, including corners and baseboards; dust and clean walls, ceilings, windows, and other surfaces.
• Clean and sanitize sinks, toilets, appliances, countertops, tables, cabinets, doors, and other facility areas.
• Empty and clean trash containers and restock restroom and cleaning supplies.
• Use disinfectants and surface cleaners safely and according to proper procedures.
• Follow chemical handling, hazardous waste, safety, health, environmental, and 5S procedures.
• Maintain clean, organized work areas and follow all work instructions.
• Report facility or product concerns to management.
• Maintain reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Adapt to changing tasks and assist other departments as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements and Qualifications:

• 2+ years of work experience preferred; custodial, janitorial, manufacturing, or maintenance experience is a plus.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Safety-minded with strong attention to detail and a good work ethic.
• Reliable, punctual, self-motivated, and able to manage time effectively.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Coachable, adaptable, and willing to learn.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to follow safety, chemical handling, and workplace procedures.
• Ability to walk and stand for the entire shift and perform frequent reaching, bending, kneeling, crouching, and stooping.
• Ability to lift up to 10 lbs. consistently.
• Ability to perform repetitive cleaning tasks safely and efficiently.
