Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize restrooms in warehouse and office areas.

• Dust and disinfect surfaces and windows as needed.
• Remove debris and help with packaging shredding tasks.

Job Purpose

The Custodian is responsible for providing housekeeping services throughout the warehouse and office facilities. This role promotes and implements the company’s core values, demonstrates excellence in customer service, and maintains strong relationships with internal customers while ensuring a clean, safe, and organized work environment.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize warehouse and office restrooms using established practices and procedures.
• Empty and clean wastebaskets and trash containers throughout warehouse and office areas.
• Sweep, vacuum, mop, and sanitize floors in office areas, warehouse aisles, break rooms, and common spaces according to established schedules.
• Clean and sanitize break room and kitchen surfaces, including tables, counters, and sinks.
• Clean and maintain refrigerators and microwaves (including additional department microwaves) per cleaning schedule.
• Clean entrance areas, glass doors, and windows.
• Dust blinds, light fixtures, conference rooms, and office department areas.
• Dust, wash, and sanitize office and warehouse surfaces as needed.
• Sweep warehouse aisles and assist in clearing debris and cardboard from warehouse floors.
• Cut cardboard for packaging and shred paper as required.
• Clean, wash, and disinfect drinking fountains.
• Perform cleaning and related activities such as removing debris from sidewalks and outdoor areas, including ice or snow when necessary.
• Follow all instructions regarding the safe use of chemicals and supplies.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma and/or equivalent experience
• 1 year of custodial experience, preferred

Physical requirements

• Sitting, Standing, Walking
• Lifting: Raising or lowering an object from one level to another (includes upward pulling)
• Good eye-hand coordination and sense of balance
• Exposure to varied temperatures within warehouse environment
• Work inside and outside; ability to use tools and equipment used in custodial work
• Carrying, pushing, and pulling of items up to 50 lbs, at times.
