Title: Custodian Job Description

Job OverviewThe Custodian is responsible for the cleanliness and sanitation of all areas assigned.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform janitorial duties
• Perform all duties listed on the daily schedule
• Perform Hazardous Waste responsibilities including collecting, classifying, sorting, storing, shipping and receiving, labeling, cleaning, recycling, packaging of special and hazardous waste.
• Operate motorized cleaning equipment
• Maintain daily upkeep of assigned area
• Report incidents and hazardous conditions to supervisor
• Comply with safety rules, policies, and procedures
• Stop at risk behavior of others and self
• Perform work assignments in a team with other employees
• Perform repetitive tasks
• Maintain clean work area
• Follow all protocols, company procedures, policies, and rules
• Take direction and respond to supervision
• Talk with lead, supervisor, co-workers, managers, and customers in a professional manner
• Fill in during staff shortage
• Support shift lead in completing punch-list items
• Use proper personal protective equipment
• Present a professional appearance and conduct
• Understand customer service and satisfaction
• Understand reporting systems, and of the environment

• Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Bilingual a plus Ability to read and interpret instructions, procedures, manuals, and other documents Knowledge of cleaning methods and equipment and willing to share with team Knowledge of the upkeep and care of the cleaning equipment Knowledge of cleaning compounds and chemicals, and their safe, efficient use

Shifts and Compensation

Monday-Friday: 3:00pm-11:30pm $16.00-$17.00 per hour $17.00 Dollars per hours and the 2nd shift is 3:00Pm to 11:30Pm and days are Monday to Friday
