Job summary

Walmart Central Fill Pharmacy seeks a Custodian to maintain a clean and safe environment for customers and associates in a fast-paced facility. You will work independently within a supportive team to ensure spaces reflect our commitment to excellence.

The role emphasizes routine cleaning, adherence to safety procedures, and timely response to facility needs, with standard first shift hours from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday through Friday. 1–3 years custodial experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum Qualifications: 1–3 years of Custodial services or related field experience (e.g., Custodial Worker, Janitorial Worker, Building Maintenance, Utility Worker, Sanitation Technician).
• Cleaning and sanitizing experience required.

Responsibilities

• Maintains clean, safe facilities including offices, restrooms, conference rooms, lobbies and common areas.
• Performs routine cleaning tasks: dusting, sweeping, mopping, trash removal and sanitizing surfaces.
• Reports facility issues and supports events by preparing rooms and coordinating with management.

Walmart Central Fill Pharmacy is a specialized type of pharmacy that focuses on processing and dispensing of prescriptions for multiple retail pharmacy locations within a region. Unlike a traditional pharmacy, Central Fill is full of automation allowing prescriptions to be filled fast and accurately. But the best part of Central Fill pharmacy is taking care of our patients in the community. While we are not patient facing, our job provides retail pharmacies the ability to spend much deserved time providing clinical services and education to the communities they serve.

Job Description

As a Custodian, you'll play a vital role in creating a clean, safe and welcoming environment for our customers and associates. You'll be responsible for maintaining our facilities to the highest standards. Your attention to detail will ensure every space reflects our commitment to excellence. This position offers the opportunity to work independently while being part of a supportive team. You'll make a visible difference in the experience of everyone who walks through our doors.

Work Schedules:

• 1st shift: Must be available to work from Monday to Friday betweenthe hours of 7:00 AM 3:00PM

What you'll do:

• Assists in facility support by setting up rooms for special events performing minor maintenance and repair activities collecting and transporting recyclables disassembling and cleaning drug dispensers and reporting facility issues for example roof leaks power outages to management
• Ensures clean and sanitary facilities for example offices restrooms conference rooms lobbies elevators parking lots according to company safety procedures and guidelines and federal state and local laws and regulations for example Occupational Safety and Health Administration OSHA regulations state health department regulations by wearing personal protective equipment emptying waste receptacles and recycle bins dusting sweeping and wet mopping stripping and waxing floors cleaning and sanitizing bathrooms and showers vacuuming and spot cleaning carpets cleaning electronic devices for example microwaves windows air conditioner ducts and ceiling tiles and identifying and reacting to additional cleaning needs
• Complies with company policies procedures and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing related action plans using the Open Door Policy and applying these in executing business processes and practices

Completes work assignments and priorities by using policies data and resources collaborating with managers coworkers' customers and other business partners identifying priorities deadlines and expectations carrying out tasks communicating progress and information determining and recommending ways to address improvement opportunities and adapting to and learning from change difficulties and feedback

• Responsible and dependable individuals with strong attention to detail.
• Comfortable working both independently and within a team environment.
• Able to respond to dynamic cleaning and maintenance needs.
• Previous custodial or maintenance experience preferred but not required.
