Weis Markets is looking for a dependable store associate in Pennsylvania to maintain clean, safe, and inviting store environments for customers and teammates. The role emphasizes respect, teamwork, and consistent adherence to sanitation standards.

You will sweep, wash, mop, and restock supplies; handle basic cleaning equipment with proper training; keep the sales floor hazard-free; and cooperate with management to ensure smooth operations and a positive shopping experience.

Responsabilidades

• Sweep, wash, mop, and perform general cleaning; replenish supplies and maintain restrooms, break rooms, and surrounding areas.
• Operate cleaning equipment when trained; maintain equipment and assist with cardboard bale handling as needed.
• Maintain the sales floor and keep it free of slip hazards; clear sidewalks and porches of snow and ice as required.
• Notify store management of repairs or unsafe conditions and inform front-end manager when supplies are needed.
• Assist department managers with sanitation efforts, including sink traps maintenance.
• Cooperate with coworkers and superiors to ensure smooth operation and continuous improvement of performance.
• Perform other duties as required by the store manager.

Job Description:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The associate is responsible for the functions below, in addition to other duties as assigned:

• Sweeps, washes, mops, and does general clean-up work. Cleans restrooms and break rooms, replenishes supplies, disposes of wastepaper, and keeps building and surrounding grounds in orderly condition.
• May operate, if over 18 years of age and if training is provided, various motor driven equipment used for cleaning in the store. Maintains cleaning equipment in good repair. May also be responsible for assisting or making cardboard bales.
• Maintains sales floor. Helps keep the sales floor free of slip and trip hazards. May also clear sidewalks and porch of snow and ice. Disposes of trash and other debris in back room, break room, front-end and parking lot.
• Notifies store management when repairs or maintenance may be required or when he/she observes unsafe conditions which require more than his/her attention. Also, informs the front-end manager when there is need for more supplies.
• Aids the department managers with efforts to meet all sanitation requirements, including the proper maintenance and sanitation of sink traps.
• Ensures smooth function of department and store by cooperating with co-workers and superiors. Responsible to continuously improve job performance.
• Performs other duties as required by the store manager.

This position currently has no supervisory responsibilities.

Qualification Requirements

To perform this job successfully, the associate must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required:

High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred.
