Brief Job Description

Individual will be expected to perform routine custodial duties, as assigned by their District school site including, but not limited to: sweeping, scrubbing, mopping, wax and polishing of floors, vacuuming carpeted areas in classrooms, offices, workshops, and other assigned work areas.

Must have basic knowledge of basic methods, materials, tools, and equipment used in custodial work and routine maintenance. Proper methods of storing equipment, materials and supplies. Proper lifting techniques. Must have the ability to perform routine custodial activities as assgined at the school site or facility to maintain the building locker rooms and adjacent grounds, keeping all areas associated with the schools campus clean, orderly, and in a safe condition. Use cleaning materials, equipment and methods according to pre-determined standards. Applicant will be responsible for learning and applying knowledge of the schedules, procedures and use of equipment and supplies in custodial work.
