Job summary

San Joaquin Valley College Inc. in Sacramento is seeking a Custodian to maintain a safe, clean, and presentable environment under the direct supervision of the Campus President.

The Custodian will clean and stock restrooms, vacuum and clean carpets, and ensure classrooms, labs, offices, reception areas, and lounges stay presentable for students and staff. This role requires attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to work with a team in a fast-paced campus setting.

Summary: In relation to contributing to our mission and goals, under the direct supervision of the Campus President the Custodian maintains the facility so that a safe, clean and presentable environment is given to the public and employees.

Compensation: The starting pay range for this position is $18.00 per hour.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Cleans and stocks restrooms
• Vacuums and cleans carpets
• Ensures the cleanliness of classrooms, labs, offices, reception area and student and employee lounges
• Performs other duties as assigned

Supervisory Responsibilities: This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Education and/or Experience:

• High school diploma, general education degree (GED), or relevant experience preferred.

Other Qualifications – Possesses thorough knowledge of cleaning supplies and equipment; sufficient knowledge of English to understand instructions.
