REPORTS TO:Building Principal / Maintenance Director (summers)

JOB GOAL: To provide students with a safe, attractive, comfortable, clean, and efficient place to learn, play, and develop.

TYPICAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Such duties and responsibilities as may be assigned, including but not limited to

• Follow a work schedule developed by the building principal
• Sweep, mop, scrub, and wax floors using the necessary floor machines such as buffering scrubbers and wet/dry vacuum machines
• Perform general cleaning of the building and grounds
• Assist in all cleaning functions
• Maintain a stock of custodial supplies
• Maintain all custodial equipment
• Inspect buildings, grounds, and mechanical equipment on a routine basis and report any items in need of attention to the principal
• Check with the principal for any special duties such as programs, ball games, and other activities
• Perform other duties as assigned

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 261 Days

EVALUATION: The performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with the evaluation procedure for classified employees of the Lafayette County School District.
