Job summary

NFI is hiring a Custodian to maintain sanitation standards across company facilities. You will work in a fast-paced environment on 1st shift (Sun-Thurs, 5:30am-2:00pm) or 2nd shift (Tue-Sat, 2:00pm-10:30pm), performing cleaning and maintenance tasks to uphold safety and cleanliness.

The role requires detail orientation, reliable communication, and prior experience. The company offers a robust benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401k, PTO and parental leave.

Responsibilities

• Cleans terminal with hand brooms, power scrubbers, sweepers and vacuum cleaners to meet company standards.
• Removes all refuse from offices, restrooms, break-rooms and building daily ensuring trash cans are empty and clean.
• Ensures that restrooms are stocked with necessary supplies.
• Relocates, moves and adjusts office furniture as necessary.
• Ensures that pest control systems are operating efficiently and that the highest degree of sanitation and housekeeping is maintained.
• Removes ice and snow from pedestrian walkways and parking lot(s).
• Maintains company grounds free from litter and debris.
• Prepares company required reports on labor and equipment.
• Maintains a log on the history of repairs by type of equipment.
• Prepare complete and accurate records and reports as required.
• Reports any safety problems to the shift supervisor.
• Comply with OSHA and MSDS standards.
• Performs other duties as instructed by the Operations Manager.

We are excited to share the base hourly rate for this position is $18.50 HOUR. NFI takes into consideration applicants' qualifications, experience, education, geographic location, when determining a starting rate of pay. This position may also be eligible for an additional $1.00 HOUR based on shift work.
