Job summary

Heartshare is seeking a reliable Cleaner to maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic environment for Day Hab participants, staff, and visitors. You will follow cleaning schedules and protocols to sanitize classrooms, bathrooms, and common areas daily.

The ideal candidate will have experience with cleaning products, the ability to work independently, and a commitment to health and safety guidelines. Background checks are required to ensure a safe environment for all participants.

Qualifications

• Previous cleaning experience preferred, especially in a school or childcare setting.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Knowledge of cleaning products and safe usage practices.
• Physical ability to perform cleaning tasks (e.g., lifting, bending, standing for extended periods).
• Must pass background checks and meet all health and safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize classrooms, bathrooms, hallways, offices, and common areas daily
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust surfaces as needed
• Disinfect high-touch surfaces and ensure all areas meet health and safety standards
• Empty trash bins and dispose of waste properly
• Replenish supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper
• Assist with setup and cleanup for school events or activities
• Report any maintenance issues or safety concerns to the appropriate staff
• Follow cleaning schedules and protocols, including those related to infection control
