Job summary

Lake Land College in Illinois is seeking a detail-oriented custodian to perform a wide range of cleaning and maintenance tasks. Responsibilities include cleaning, carpet and floor care (stripping and waxing), chemical application, and trash removal, with other duties as assigned to support campus facilities.

Required is a high school diploma or equivalent, and a minimum of two years of custodial experience. A valid class D driver's license is preferred to support campus operations.

Specific Functional Job Requirements

Experience Requirements:

Knowledge:

• General knowledge of custodial work with ability to make decisions. Ability to read and follow custodial supply label instructions and Material Safety Data Sheets and the ability to properly mix cleaning chemicals at the recommended dilution levels is mandatory.

• Ability to use custodial equipment.

• Ability to work with others with minimum supervision.
