Pacific West Site Services, Inc. is seeking a Custodian to maintain cleanliness and sanitation across assigned areas. You will perform janitorial duties, operate cleaning equipment, and follow safety protocols while supporting a team.

The role includes handling hazardous waste tasks, daily upkeep, and clear communication with supervisors and coworkers to ensure a safe, orderly environment. Weekend shifts and on-call coverage may be required.

Formación

• No specific education requirement; 3–6 months training or experience preferred.
• May be required to have a valid driver's license; safety training certification may be required.
• Forklift certification may be required.

Responsabilidades

• Maintain daily upkeep of assigned area.
• Report incidents and hazardous conditions to supervisor.
• Follow safety rules, policies, and procedures; act on at-risk behavior.
• Collaborate with team to complete tasks and punch-list items.
• Present professional appearance and conduct; communicate respectfully with staff and customers.
• Understand customer service and reporting systems.

Job Description:

Job Overview

The Custodian is responsible for the cleanliness and sanitation of all areas assigned.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform janitorial duties
• Perform all duties listed on the daily schedule
• Perform Hazardous Waste responsibilities including collecting, classifying, sorting, storing, shipping and receiving, labeling, cleaning, recycling, packaging of special and hazardous waste.
• Operate motorized cleaning equipment
• Maintain daily upkeep of assigned area
• Report incidents and hazardous conditions to supervisor
• Comply with safety rules, policies, and procedures
• Stop at risk behavior of others and self
• Perform work assignments in a team with other employees
• Perform repetitive tasks
• Maintain clean work area
• Follow all protocols, company procedures, policies, and rules
• Take direction and respond to supervision
• Talk with lead, supervisor, co-workers, managers, and customers in a professional manner
• Fill in during staff shortage
• Support shift lead in completing punch-list items
• Use proper personal protective equipment
• Present a professional appearance and conduct
• Understand customer service and satisfaction
• Understand reporting systems, and of the environment

Qualification

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required to perform this job safely. Other duties, responsibilities and activities may change or be assigned at any time with or without notice.

Education and/ or Experience: No specific education requirement, 3-6 months training or experience preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: May be required to have a valid driver's license. Completed all safety and task training certification. May be required to be forklift certified.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Bilingual a plus
• Ability to read and interpret instructions, procedures, manuals, and other documents
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Knowledge of cleaning methods and equipment and willing to share with team
• Knowledge of the upkeep and care of the cleaning equipment
• Knowledge of cleaning compounds and chemicals, and their safe, efficient use

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Compensation and Shift:

Saturday and Sunday 2:30pm -11:30 PM and on-call Monday-Friday (if needed).

$18.00-$19.00 per hour
