Job summary

Kualoa Ranch Hawai'i on the windward coast of O'ahu is seeking a part-time Custodian to keep facilities clean and welcoming for guests, tenants, and staff. This on-site role requires availability on weekends and holidays and in-person interviews.

Responsibilities include restroom sanitation, floor care, waste removal, window cleaning, light maintenance, restocking supplies, and assisting with events. Candidate should be dependable and customer-service oriented.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Prior janitorial, custodial, or facilities maintenance preferred.
• Able to lift 50–75 lbs and perform physical work.
• Excellent interpersonal skills for guest interactions.

Responsibilities

• Clean and disinfect restrooms, locker rooms, and public areas.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust interior and exterior areas.
• Empty waste containers and replace liners.
• Clean windows and doors; maintain high-touch surfaces.
• Perform light maintenance and basic repairs as needed.
• Restock restroom supplies and report inventory needs.
• Support event setup, cleanup, and facilities-related tasks.
• Provide friendly, respectful customer service to guests.

Location: On-Site - Must currently reside on O ʻahu and be available for in-person interviews and immediate hire.

Schedule: Part-time; open availability including weekends and holidays is required. 1 weekday and 1 weekend day each week
8hr or 9.5hr shifts.

Position Summary:

The Custodian supports the upkeep and cleanliness of Kualoa Ranch's facilities to ensure a safe, sanitary, and welcoming environment for guests, tenants, and staff. This position is responsible for routine janitorial services and general facility upkeep, including restroom sanitation, floor care, waste removal, and minor maintenance tasks. The ideal candidate is dependable, able to work independently, and provides excellent customer service when interacting with guests and residents.

Key Responsibilities:

• Clean and disinfect restrooms, locker rooms, and public areas throughout the day
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust all assigned interior and exterior areas
• Empty waste containers and replace liners in designated locations
• Clean windows, doors, and other high-touch surfaces
• Perform light maintenance and general repair work as assigned
• Replenish restroom supplies and report inventory needs
• Support event setup, cleanup, and other facilities-related tasks
• Provide friendly and respectful customer service to guests and residential tenants

Minimum Qualifications:

• Valid driver's license and clean driving record required
• Prior janitorial, custodial, or facilities maintenance experience preferred
• Must be able to work both independently and as part of a team
• Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and reliability
• Excellent interpersonal skills for interacting with guests and tenants
• Must be able to lift and carry 50-75 lbs and perform physical labor in various weather conditions

Physical Requirements & Work Environment:

• Must be able to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions including sun, rain, and wind
• Requires frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting throughout the day
• May work around cleaning chemicals, high-traffic guest areas, and uneven surfaces
• Must be comfortable performing repetitive and physically demanding tasks daily
