Qualifications

• No specific education requirement; 3–6 months training or experience preferred.
• Certification: may require a valid driver’s license and safety training.
• Forklift certification may be required.
• Bilingual is a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret instructions and manuals.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of cleaning methods, equipment, and chemicals.

Responsibilities

• Perform janitorial duties and follow daily schedule.
• Handle hazardous waste collection, classification, sorting, storing, shipping, receiving and labeling.
• Operate motorized cleaning equipment.
• Maintain clean and safe work area; report incidents to supervisor.
• Follow safety rules and company procedures.
• Work as part of a team and assist with punch-list items.
• Present professional appearance and provide customer service.

# **Title:**Custodian# **Job Description:****Job Overview**The Custodian is responsible for the cleanliness and sanitation of all areas assigned.**Roles & Responsibilities**To perform this job successfully and safely, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned.* Perform janitorial duties* Perform all duties listed on the daily schedule* Perform Hazardous Waste responsibilities including collecting, classifying, sorting, storing, shipping and receiving, labeling, cleaning, recycling, packaging of special and hazardous waste.* Operate motorized cleaning equipment* Maintain daily upkeep of assigned area* Report incidents and hazardous conditions to supervisor* Comply with safety rules, policies, and procedures* Stop at risk behavior of others and self* Perform work assignments in a team with other employees* Perform repetitive tasks* Maintain clean work area* Follow all protocols, company procedures, policies, and rules* Take direction and respond to supervision* Talk with lead, supervisor, co-workers, managers, and customers in a professional manner* Fill in during staff shortage* Support shift lead in completing punch-list items* Use proper personal protective equipment* Present a professional appearance and conduct* Understand customer service and satisfaction* Understand reporting systems, and of the environment**Qualification**To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
