Job summary

FedEx Freight in Houston is seeking a Custodian to clean offices, yards and dock areas, ensuring a neat, safe, and orderly work environment.

You will vacuum, mop, empty trash, clean restrooms, perform yard duties, and assist with light repairs while following safety rules and company policies. This role is full-time with an eight-hour shift.

Starting Rate of Pay: $ 18.70 per hour

POSITION OVERVIEW:

Responsible for cleaning the physical structures, the yard and dock areas of the facility to provide an attractive, clean, work environment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Vacuum, sweep, mop and dust entire office area
• Empty trash
• Clean restrooms
• Perform general yard work (cleans, picks up trash, cuts grass, maintains gardens)
• Maintain parking areas to keep free of trash
• Clean dock and dock apron
• Perform minor building repair and paint as needed
• Change light bulbs in office area and on dock
• Change air conditioner filters
• Comply with all applicable laws/regulations, as well as company policies/procedures
• Perform other duties as required

WORKING CONDITIONS:
