Job summary

Pacific West Site Services, Inc. is seeking a Custodian to maintain cleanliness and sanitation of assigned areas. The role includes performing janitorial duties and following the daily schedule with attention to safety and quality.

The ideal candidate will have 3–6 months of training or experience, basic reading comprehension, and good communication skills. The position is on-site with full collaboration to the team and shift lead.

Qualifications

Job Overview

The Custodian is responsible for the cleanliness and sanitation of all areas assigned.

Roles & Responsibilities

• - Perform janitorial duties
• - Perform all duties listed on the daily schedule
• - Perform Hazardous Waste responsibilities including collecting, classifying, sorting, storing, shipping and receiving, labeling, cleaning, recycling, packaging of special and hazardous waste.
• - Operate motorized cleaning equipment
• - Maintain daily upkeep of assigned area
• - Report incidents and hazardous conditions to supervisor
• - Comply with safety rules, policies, and procedures
• - Stop at risk behavior of others and self
• - Perform work assignments in a team with other employees
• - Perform repetitive tasks
• - Maintain clean work area
• - Follow all protocols, company procedures, policies, and rules
• - Take direction and respond to supervision
• - Talk with lead, supervisor, co-workers, managers, and customers in a professional manner
• - Fill in during staff shortage
• - Support shift lead in completing punch-list items
• - Use proper personal protective equipment
• - Present a professional appearance and conduct
• - Understand customer service and satisfaction
• - Understand reporting systems, and of the environment

Education and/ or Experience: No specific education requirement, 3-6 months training or experience preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

A valid driver’s license may be required for this position based on business needs. Employees required to drive as part of their job duties must maintain an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) and meet company driving eligibility requirements.

Completed all safety and task training certification.

May be required to be forklift certified.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Bilingual a plus

Ability to read and interpret instructions, procedures, manuals, and other documents

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Knowledge of cleaning methods and equipment and willing to share with team

Knowledge of the upkeep and care of the cleaning equipment

Knowledge of cleaning compounds and chemicals, and their safe, efficient use

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Sunday - Thursday:3:00pm - 11:30pm

$16.85-$17.85 per hour
