Job summary

SBM Management Services, LP is seeking a Custodian to maintain cleanliness and sanitation across assigned areas. Responsibilities include janitorial duties, hazardous waste handling, and operating cleaning equipment.

You will report safety incidents, follow protocols, and collaborate with teammates and supervisors to ensure a clean, safe environment. The role requires 3–6 months of training or experience (no formal education required) and may require a valid driver’s license, safety training,

Qualifications

• No formal education requirement; 3–6 months training or experience preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• May require a valid driver’s license and safety/task training certification; forklift certification may be required.
• Bilingual is a plus; able to read and interpret instructions, procedures and manuals.
• Strong verbal and written communication; knowledge of cleaning methods and equipment.
• Upkeep and care of cleaning equipment; knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safe use.

Responsibilities

• Perform janitorial duties and daily schedule tasks.
• Handle hazardous waste activities including collecting, classifying, sorting, storing, shipping/receiving, labeling, cleaning, recycling and packaging.
• Operate motorized cleaning equipment; maintain daily upkeep of assigned area.
• Report incidents and hazardous conditions to supervisor; follow safety rules and procedures.
• Work in a team; perform repetitive tasks; maintain a clean work area.
• Follow protocols and company policies; take direction from supervisors and leads.
• Talk with lead, supervisor, coworkers, managers and customers professionally.
• Fill in during staff shortage and support shift lead with punch-list items.
• Use proper personal protective equipment and present a professional appearance.
• Understand customer service, reporting systems and the environment.
