Job summary

Fairway Automotive Group is seeking a dedicated Custodian to maintain cleanliness and orderliness of our Greenville facility. Responsibilities include sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, restrooms, trash disposal, and light maintenance tasks to keep the site presentable and functional.

You will also help ensure security after hours, manage cleaning supplies, and assist with event setup. This role requires reliability, adherence to safety protocols, and ability to perform routine maintenance

Responsibilities

• Cleaning and sanitation of floors, walls, windows, furniture, and other surfaces.
• Restroom cleaning, sanitizing, and restocking supplies.
• Trash disposal and proper waste management.
• Light maintenance such as replacing bulbs or fixing leaks.
• Operate cleaning equipment (vacuum, floor scrubber, buffers).
• Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and restock as needed.
• Ensure building is secure after hours.
• Set up rooms for events and meetings.
• Perform light grounds maintenance (sweeping, snow removal).
• Follow safety procedures and wear PPE.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Key Responsibilities

• Cleaning and Sanitation: Maintaining the cleanliness of floors, walls, windows, furniture, and other surfaces.
• Restroom Maintenance: Cleaning, sanitizing, and restocking restrooms with supplies.
• Trash Disposal: Emptying trash receptacles and ensuring proper disposal.
• Light Maintenance: Performing minor repairs, such as replacing light bulbs or fixing small leaks.
• Equipment Operation: Operating cleaning equipment like vacuum cleaners, floor scrubbers, and buffing machines.
• Supply Management: Maintaining an inventory of cleaning supplies and restocking as needed.
• Building Security: Ensuring the building is locked and secured after hours.
• Event Preparation: Setting up and preparing rooms for events, meetings, or other special occasions.
• Grounds Maintenance: responsible for light grounds maintenance tasks like sweeping sidewalks or removing snow.
• Safety: Following safety procedures, wearing appropriate protective gear, and reporting any safety hazards.
• Other Duties as Assigned: Custodians may be asked to perform other duties as needed by their supervisor.
