Job summary

The Greensboro Science Center in Greensboro, NC is seeking a Part-Time Custodian to join our Operations team. Under supervision, you will perform cleaning duties across the facility, maintain equipment, and help create a safe, welcoming environment for visitors.

This role is non-exempt, averages 15 to 25 hours per week with weekend and holiday shifts between 7am and 10pm. Candidates should be self-driven, detail-oriented, and able to lift and work outside in varied weather.

Qualifications

• Valid NC driver’s license preferred.
• Knowledge of small power tool use preferred.
• Self-driven and motivated.
• Positive Attitude.

Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning duties such as cleaning bathrooms and floors, washing walls and glass, and removing rubbish.
• Ensure public facilities are well-maintained and stocked with product (restrooms, hand-washing stations, hand-sanitizer stations).
• Ensure pathways are debris free. Clean snow from the sidewalks.
• Collect garbage and recycling throughout the facility.
• Maintain clean picnic areas.
• Assist with small cleaning and repair projects.
• Notify management of the need for repairs.
• Respond to radio calls for Custodial services.
• Other related duties as assigned.

Job Details: Job Location: Greensboro Science Center - Greensboro, NC 27455, Position Type: Part Time, Salary Range: $11.55, Part-Time Custodian

Under the supervision of the Operations Manager, Custodial Assistant Managers and the Lead Custodians, the part-time Custodian works closely with the Custodial team to maintain a clean and safe environment for the general public. Custodians maintain equipment and other supplies while dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and general cleaning. This is a part-time, non-exempt position with a 15 to 25 hours per week. Weekend and holiday availability. Shifts range between 7am and 10pm during normal hours of operation.
