Job summary

AbleLight is looking for a Custodian to perform heavy cleaning tasks and basic maintenance at our facility. The role involves floor care (vacuuming and buffing), rug shampooing, wall and glass cleaning, trash removal, and restroom sanitation.

The position requires a high school degree or experience, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to pass a background check. It offers a part-time shift and a starting pay of $15.16 per hour.

Qualifications

• Background check required.
• Valid Driver's license.
• Previous experience in a similar role is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Heavy cleaning duties including vacuuming and buffing floors.
• Shampooing rugs and washing walls and glass surfaces.
• Emptying trash receptacles and replacing liner bags.
• Cleaning and sanitizing restrooms with mops and disinfectants.
• Tending to routine maintenance and reporting repairs to management.
• Locking doors after hours and monitoring electrical equipment to ensure safety.

In this position, the responsibilities include heavy cleaning duties, such as cleaning floors by vacuuming and buffing, shampooing rugs, washing walls and glass, emptying trash receptacles, and replacing lining of trash cans. Cleans and services restrooms with mops and disinfectants. Duties may include tending and performing routine maintenance activities, notifying management of need for repairs, and cleaning snow or debris from sidewalk. Monitors building security and safety by performing such tasks as locking doors after operating hours and checking electrical appliance use to ensure that hazards are not created.

Requirements / Position Details :

• High School degree or experience
• Previous experience in a similar role a plus
• Valid Drivers license
• Must be able to pass a background check
• Shift- Part Time
• Compensation: $15.16/hr
