C&W Services in Florida is hiring a Custodian to perform a range of custodial duties across facilities. The Cleaner will follow directions from the Custodial Manager or Supervisor and ensure standards, instructions, and procedures are met in daily work.

Responsibilities include floor care with buffers and shampoo machines, vacuuming, dusting, window cleaning, restroom restocking, trash removal, and reporting any building issues.

Qualifications

• Basic cleaning responsibilities; no previous experience required.
• Must take direction, work with minimal supervision, and function as part of a team.
• Ability to use cleaning tools and equipment, including a portable backpack-style vacuum.
• Attention to detail, pride in delivering excellent service, organization and energy.

Job Description Summary

The Cleaner will work under the supervision of the Custodial Manager or Supervisor and perform a variety of custodial duties for C&W Services. Such duties shall be in accordance with established standards, instructions, and procedures of C&W Services.

Typical Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, and wash floors and other surfaces inside buildings.
• Use light and heavy (commercial) floor buffers and shampoo machines, including attachments.
• Vacuum rugs in offices and public areas; spot‑clean daily and shampoo when directed.
• Clean and dust furniture, exhibit cases, pictures, chairs, door trim, light fixtures, and all other horizontal surfaces, including periodic high dusting.
• Wash windowsills; clean glass in interior doors, partitions, and specified windows.
• Wash glass and trim at entrance doors; wash/spot‑clean interior walls as appropriate daily.
• Clean bathrooms and restock paper supplies daily. Standard bathroom procedures include damp wiping glass surfaces, emptying waste baskets, servicing soap and toilet paper dispensers, dusting sills, cleaning tile walls, shelves, stall partitions, and sweeping/mopping/scrubbing floors.
• Monitor possible defects such as clogged urinals and lights out, and report to supervisors.
• Collect building trash daily, placing it in approved container and designated collection area for removal.
• Replace liners in waste baskets and trash containers per specifications.
• Sweep or shovel snow from steps and walkways at building entrances and connecting walkways/sidewalks as directed.
• Perform periodic tasks such as high dusting, leather and wood surface cleaning, polishing, and wall washing.
• Perform any other duties as assigned.

Compensation

The compensation offered to the successful candidate will depend on factors such as whether the position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement, the geographic area in which the work will be performed, market pay rates in that area, and the candidate’s experience and qualifications. The company will not pay less than minimum wage for this role. The position’s pay range is $14.00 – $15.00 per hour.
