Job summary

Sartell-St. Stephen School District is seeking a Custodian for Sartell High School to maintain a safe and clean environment for students, staff and the public. The position requires working the 3:00pm–11:30pm shift, 8 hours per day, 260 days per year, with some variation during summer and school breaks.

• Clean classrooms, common areas, hallways and bathrooms; vacuuming, garbage removal and floor maintenance.
• Serve as main contact for issues in absence of Head Custodian and perform minor maintenance tasks as needed.

Job Summary:
To provide a safe and clean environment for students, staff and the public. Point of contact for community groups and other public entities during events in the assigned building.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The custodian will be responsible for cleaning classrooms, common areas, hallways and bathrooms. This includes, but is not limited to, vacuuming, removing garbage, shampooing carpets, scrubbing floors and seasonal stripping and waxing of floors. Serves as the main point of contact for any issues/problems in the absence of the Head Custodian. The custodian will also be responsible to perform minor maintenance in classrooms, common areas, hallways and bathrooms.
