  • Comply with OSHA standards and college policies.
  • Communicate effectively with staff and students; participate in team meetings.
  • Work independently and as part of a team to deliver high-quality custodial work.

  • Salary/Wage Range: $17.76 - $26.04 (Classified Hourly Pay Grade 6)

  • Salary/Compensation Statement:

    • Hourly wage reflects an approximate annual salary of $36,935- $54,166.

    • New employees may not be placed on the salary schedule higher than any current employee in this classification with the same or greater number of years' relevant experience.

    • Lane Community College is considered a qualifying public employer for the purposes of the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program. Through the Public Service Loan Forgiveness program, full-time employees working at the College may qualify for forgiveness of the remaining balance on Direct Loans after 120 qualifying monthly payments under a qualifying repayment plan. Required Qualifications

  • Position Purpose: Responsible for cleaning the inside of buildings and other facilities and performing minor maintenance in a manner that is safe and supports learning at the college.

  • Essential Functions:

    • Sweep and mop floors using hand or power equipment.

    • Empties trash containers.

    • Scrub and refinish floors.

    • Wash walls and mirrors.

    • Wash windows (inside and outside) using the Unger system.

    • Dust, clean whiteboards, drinking fountains, counters and lights, cleans and sanitize restrooms and replenish supplies.

    • Vacuum, spot clean, shampoo and extract carpets.

    • Comply with college and division policies and procedures.

    • Adhere to all OSHA standards.

    • Actively participate in team meetings and activities

    • Maintain positive verbal and written communication with employees and department staff.

    • Honor and promote the college's Mission, Vision and Values.

    • Work independently and collaborate as part of team to ensure high-quality custodial work.

    • Problem solve and manage sensitive information with appropriate awareness of FERPA standards; maintain confidentiality and sensitivity to the privacy needs of students.
