Job summary

SBM Management Services, LP is seeking a Custodian to maintain cleanliness and sanitation across assigned areas. You will perform janitorial duties, operate cleaning equipment, and manage hazardous waste per safety guidelines. A valid driver's license may be required, with forklift certification beneficial.

The role runs Sunday through Thursday, 6:00pm–2:30am, with a compensation of $18–$19 per hour. SBM provides comprehensive benefits and is an equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• No formal education required; 3–6 months training or experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license may be required; MVR may apply.
• Forklift certification may be required.

Responsibilities

• Perform janitorial duties as assigned.
• Follow daily schedule and complete listed tasks.
• Handle hazardous waste including collection, labeling, recycling, and shipping.
• Operate motorized cleaning equipment.
• Report incidents and hazards to supervisor.
• Maintain clean work area and follow safety procedures.

Title:CustodianJob Description:Job OverviewThe Custodian is responsible for the cleanliness and sanitation of all areas assigned.Roles & ResponsibilitiesTo perform this job successfully and safely, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned.Perform janitorial dutiesPerform all duties listed on the daily schedulePerform Hazardous Waste responsibilities including collecting, classifying, sorting, storing, shipping and receiving, labeling, cleaning, recycling, packaging of special and hazardous waste.Operate motorized cleaning equipmentMaintain daily upkeep of assigned areaReport incidents and hazardous conditions to supervisorComply with safety rules, policies, and proceduresStop at risk behavior of others and selfPerform work assignments in a team with other employeesPerform repetitive tasksMaintain clean work areaFollow all protocols, company procedures, policies, and rulesTake direction and respond to supervisionTalk with lead, supervisor, co-workers, managers, and customers in a professional mannerFill in during staff shortageSupport shift lead in completing punch-list itemsUse proper personal protective equipmentPresent a professional appearance and conductUnderstand customer service and satisfactionUnderstand reporting systems, and of the environmentQualificationTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
