Job summary

SBM Management Services, LP is seeking a Custodian in Oregon to ensure the cleanliness and sanitation of all assigned areas. You will perform daily duties, operate motorized cleaning equipment, and maintain a clean work area while adhering to safety rules and company policies.

Strong communication and ability to follow instructions are required, with training provided. The role runs Sunday through Thursday from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM with a pay range of $16.85 to $17.85 per hour.

Qualifications

• No specific education requirement and 3–6 months training or experience preferred.
• May be required to have a valid driver’s license.
• Completed all safety and task training certification.
• Forklift certification may be required.

Job Overview

The Custodian is responsible for the cleanliness and sanitation of all areas assigned.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform all duties listed on the daily schedule
• Perform Hazardous Waste responsibilities including collecting, classifying, sorting, storing, shipping and receiving, labeling, cleaning, recycling, packaging of special and hazardous waste.
• Operate motorized cleaning equipment
• Maintain daily upkeep of assigned area
• Report incidents and hazardous conditions to supervisor
• Comply with safety rules, policies, and procedures
• Stop at risk behavior of others and self
• Perform work assignments in a team with other employees
• Maintain clean work area
• Follow all protocols, company procedures, policies, and rules
• Take direction and respond to supervision
• Talk with lead, supervisor, co-workers, managers, and customers in a professional manner
• Fill in during staff shortage
• Support shift lead in completing punch‑list items
• Use proper personal protective equipment
• Present a professional appearance and conduct
• Understand customer service and satisfaction
• Understand reporting systems and the environment
• Perform janitorial duties
• Perform repetitive tasks

Qualification

Education and/ or Experience: No specific education requirement, 3‑6 months training or experience preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: May be required to have a valid driver’s license. Completed all safety and task training certification. May be required to be forklift certified.

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

• Bilingual a plus
• Ability to read and interpret instructions, procedures, manuals, and other documents
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Knowledge of cleaning methods and equipment and willing to share with team
• Knowledge of the upkeep and care of the cleaning equipment
• Knowledge of cleaning compounds and chemicals, and their safe, efficient use
