Job summary

ATC Automation in Cookeville, TN is seeking a full-time Custodian to maintain clean and orderly conditions across offices, assembly floor, restrooms and shop buildings. This role requires reliable hands-on cleaning and basic facility upkeep to support daily operations.

You will sweep, mop, operate cleaning machines, manage waste, restock supplies, and assist with special events while following safety protocols. High school diploma and valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleaning checklists and inventory of supplies.
• Provide assistance for special events.
• Assist with basic building repairs and cleanups.

ATC Automation is seeking a full-time, direct hire Custodian to join our team in Cookeville, Tennessee. In this role, you will maintain clean and orderly conditions of the offices, assembly floor, restrooms and shop buildings.

How You'll Contribute

• Sweeps, mops, scrubs floors, and vacuums shop, assembly floor, offices, conference rooms and restrooms.
• Empties trash and garbage containers.
• Routinely operate cardboard bailing machine.
• Operate floor and carpet cleaning machines.
• Refill water coolers with bottled water & other kitchenet supplies.
• Maintain Records - Cleaning checklist, cleaning supply inventory.
• Provides assistance for special events.
• Maintains building performing minor or routine repairs.
• Assists in general shop and assembly building clean ups.

Additional Expectations

• Work schedule outside of normal first shift hours may be required.
• Responsibility for securing and enabling building alarm may be required.
• Communication skills in a team environment.
• Other job-related instructions as required.
• Other job-related duties as requested.

Basic Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license.

Physical Demands

• Maintains a clean and professional appearance in accordance with company policies.
• Stand, walk, kneel, push, pull, reach overhead, and bend to floor in a safe manner.
• Exert 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally.
• Exert 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently.
• Exert 5 to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
• VISUAL ACUITY: Normal vision with or without accommodation.
• HEARING ABILITY: Normal.

• Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in various conditions.
• High noise levels from operation machines.
• Physical hazards from moving equipment and machine parts.
