Requires the ability to read a variety of informational documentation, directions, instructions, and methods and procedures related to the job of Custodian.Requires the ability towritereports with proper format, punctuation,spellingand grammar, using all parts of speech. Requires the ability to speak with and before other with poise, voice control, and confidence using correct English and a well-modulated voice.
Incumbent mustpossessthe ability toutilizewith mathematical formulas; add and subtract totals; multiply and divide;determinepercentages; anddeterminetime and weight.
Incumbent mustpossessthe ability to learn and understand basic principles and techniques; to make independent judgments in absence of supervision; toacquireknowledge of topics related to the job as Custodian.
Must be physically able tooperatea variety of machines and tools such as stripping machines, vacuum cleaners, carpetmachineandhigh-speedbuffer, etc. Must be physically able to work,moveor carry objects or material. While performing the duties of this job, the incumbentis regularly required tostand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl and climb or balance. The incumbentfrequentlyis required touse hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms. The incumbent must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and ability to adjust focus.
While performing the duties of this job, the incumbent is routinely exposed to outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
