Applegreen (US) Welcome Centers is seeking a full-time Custodian in the City of Newburgh. This role involves utilizing appropriate cleaning chemicals and equipment to maintain cleanliness in various areas, including restrooms and dining spaces.

Candidates must be friendly, reliable, and able to handle customer interactions positively. A flexible schedule is required, including the possibility of working nights and weekends. Benefits include medical insurance, paid time off, and a 401(k) plan.

• Clean toilets, walls, windows, worktables, refrigerators, and other equipment.
• Remove trash and garbage to designated areas.
• Sweep, mop, scrub, and buff floors.
• Maintain a clean and organized lobby and dining area.

What You'll Do

• Utilize the appropriate cleaning chemicals, tools and equipment to complete tasks.


• Cleans toilets, walls, windows, worktables, refrigerators, and other equipment as necessary using appropriate equipment, tools and supplies.


• Remove trash and garbage to designated areas.


• Thoroughly sweep, mop, scrub, and buff floors.


• Maintain a clean and organized lobby and dining area.


• Transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas by hand or hand truck.


• Load and unload supply trucks.


• Follow all security, sanitation, and safety procedures established by the Company.


• Frequently immerse hands in water and water diluted with chemical solutions.


• Demonstrate the ability to interact with the public and coworkers in a friendly, enthusiastic, and outgoing manner.

Essential Experience & Skills

• Demonstrates the ability to interact with the public and coworkers in a friendly, enthusiastic, and outgoing manner.


• Cash handling and customer service experience preferred.

Requirements
