Excel Fitness in Chesapeake, Virginia is looking for a dedicated janitor to maintain cleanliness and provide outstanding service in a fitness club environment. The role includes thorough cleaning of restrooms, locker rooms, and common areas while also assisting with front desk operations.
Candidates must be at least 18 years old, have a high school diploma, and preferably some custodial experience. Flexibility in work hours is necessary, and applicants should demonstrate great communication and teamwork skills.
Reports to: General Manager (GM) / Assistant Manager (AM)
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
This job operates in a fitness club environment and routinely uses standard custodial equipment such as cleaning chemicals, floor scrubbers and vacuums. The noise level in the club environment may be loud on a regular basis. Will be required to operate in lavatory areas.
This may be either a full-time OR part-time, nonexempt position. A nonexempt Team Player is one who is entitled to the minimum wage and/or overtime pay protections of the FLSA. Scheduled work hours per week will be set during normal club hours of operation and determined by business need. Full-Time employees are ones that regularly work at least 30 hours per week. Part-Time employees are ones that regularly work 29 hours per week or less. Availability of full-time and part-time positions is dependent on business need. This position may work outside of regularly scheduled shift hours to include mornings, evenings, weekends, and overnight as required. Work hours are subject to change at any time depending on business needs.
