Job summary

SBM Management Services, LP is seeking a janitorial associate in Chandler, AZ. You will perform cleaning duties, operate cleaning equipment, and manage Hazardous Waste tasks including collection, labeling, and shipping, while maintaining a safe work environment.

The role requires adherence to safety procedures; bilingual abilities are a plus, and forklift certification may be needed. This is a team-based position with professional interactions across staff and customers.

Qualifications

• No specific education requirement; 3–6 months training or experience preferred.
• May be required to have a valid driver’s license.
• Forklift certification may be required.

Responsibilities

• Perform janitorial duties and follow daily schedule tasks.
• Handle Hazardous Waste duties: collect, classify, store, ship and label.
• Operate motorized cleaning equipment and maintain area cleanliness.
• Report incidents and hazards to supervisor; follow safety rules.
• Work in a team, take direction, and respond to supervision.
• Interact professionally with lead, supervisor, coworkers, and customers.
• Present a professional appearance and conduct; understand customer service.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform janitorial duties
• Perform all duties listed on the daily schedule
• Perform Hazardous Waste responsibilities including collecting, classifying, sorting, storing, shipping and receiving, labeling, cleaning, recycling, packaging of special and hazardous waste.
• Operate motorized cleaning equipment
• Maintain daily upkeep of assigned area
• Report incidents and hazardous conditions to supervisor
• Comply with safety rules, policies, and procedures
• Stop at risk behavior of others and self
• Perform work assignments in a team with other employees
• Perform repetitive tasks
• Maintain clean work area
• Follow all protocols, company procedures, policies, and rules
• Take direction and respond to supervision
• Talk with lead, supervisor, co-workers, managers, and customers in a professional manner
• Fill in during staff shortage
• Support shift lead in completing punch-list items
• Use proper personal protective equipment
• Present a professional appearance and conduct
• Understand customer service and satisfaction
• Understand reporting systems, and of the environment

Qualification

• Education and/ or Experience: No specific education requirement, 3-6 months training or experience preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: May be required to have a valid driver’s license. Completed all safety and task training certification. May be required to be forklift certified.
• Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Bilingual a plus Ability to read and interpret instructions, procedures, manuals, and other documents Strong verbal and written communication skills Knowledge of cleaning methods and equipment and willing to share with team Knowledge of the upkeep and care of the cleaning equipment Knowledge of cleaning compounds and chemicals, and their safe, efficient use
• Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Shifts and Compensation

Monday-Friday:5pm-1:30am $15.15-$16.00 per hour
