Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Physically able to perform the essential functions of the position.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Basic understanding of chemicals, work processes, and equipment used in cleaning schedules.
• Ability to read and explain basic operating instructions.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Ability to operate professional floor cleaning equipment and snow removal equipment.
• Available to work various shifts as required.
• Detail-oriented.

Position Summary

Performs custodial services, including cleaning and securing school premises, to facilitate the learning process.

Position Responsibilities

• Exhibits a cheerful and customer-service oriented attitude to all staff and student personnel.
• Keeps assigned areas clean and orderly at all times.
• Follows cleaning schedules provided, being mindful of quality, efficiency, frequency, and safety.
• Notifies immediate supervisor of any facilities issues requiring attention.
• In the course of normal duties, inspects facilities to ensure safety and security by performing such tasks as locking doors and windows after operating hours.
• Works in compliance with established safety procedures.
• Works additional areas, as required, in the absence of fellow custodians.
• Other duties as assigned.

Essential Skills And Experience

Terms Of Employment

• 12-month work year;
